Overview
What this project is.
Northline is a concept media company. The project demonstrates production planning where the hero film and the content programme are scoped as a single piece of work, so the shoot serves the whole calendar rather than one launch moment.
Challenge
The problem to solve.
Brand films often absorb most of a content budget and then sit on a homepage. The brief was to produce something genuinely cinematic that also fed months of channel activity, without diluting the film itself.
Insight
What we noticed.
The costly part of production is assembling crew, cast and location. Once that is standing, additional coverage is comparatively cheap — but only if it was planned before the day, not requested during it.
Strategy
The approach taken.
Extend the shot list rather than the shoot. Every scene in the film was mapped against the content formats it could also serve — interview coverage, process footage, vertical inserts, stills — and the schedule was built around capturing all of it in the same setups.
Creative Direction
How it looks and moves.
Low-key lighting, deliberate camera movement and long takes that let scenes breathe. A restrained motion-graphics layer carries typography and information without breaking the cinematic register.

What it sets out to achieve
The outcome the work is built for.
This is a concept project, so the outcomes below describe design intent rather than measured performance. We publish numbers only where a client has verified and approved them.
A quarter of content from one day
Planned coverage turns a single production into an ongoing supply of channel assets.
Cinematic without being precious
The film holds a considered visual register while still cutting down cleanly for feed formats.
A reusable title system
The motion-graphics layer works as an ongoing brand asset, not a one-off treatment.
