Overview
What this project is.
Harbor is a concept financial services firm. The project asks what the category would look like if it stopped reaching for the same visual shorthand — and built credibility out of typographic discipline and structural clarity instead.
Challenge
The problem to solve.
Financial brands converge. Blue, glass towers, handshakes, abstract growth curves. The brief was to produce something recognisably serious and recognisably different, while still satisfying the conservatism the category genuinely requires.
Insight
What we noticed.
In financial services, trust is signalled by precision far more than by warmth. Careful alignment, consistent data presentation and restraint communicate competence more convincingly than aspirational imagery ever does.
Strategy
The approach taken.
Make the typographic and layout system the identity. A strict editorial grid, a serious type pairing, architectural photography used sparingly, and a fully specified approach to presenting numbers and data — the material this category actually publishes most.
Creative Direction
How it looks and moves.
Architectural photography for structure rather than status. Deep blue and near-black with a single bright accent. Tables, figures and charts designed as a first-class part of the identity rather than left to whoever builds the report.

What it sets out to achieve
The outcome the work is built for.
This is a concept project, so the outcomes below describe design intent rather than measured performance. We publish numbers only where a client has verified and approved them.
Distinct within a converged category
Recognisable without abandoning the seriousness financial services genuinely requires.
Data designed, not defaulted
Charts, tables and figures are specified as part of the identity rather than left to chance.
Consistent from site to statement
The same system governs the website, the investor deck and the corporate report.
