Overview
What this project is.
Velo is a concept automotive brand. The campaign explores a launch built on macro detail rather than the familiar coastal-road hero shot, with 3D used to reach angles a camera cannot and media planned around what the creative testing reveals.
Challenge
The problem to solve.
Automotive launch creative is heavily conventionalised, and the conventions are expensive. The brief was to produce something distinctive and testable — a campaign that could learn which ideas actually earn attention before the full budget was committed.
Insight
What we noticed.
Enthusiasts buy on detail. The surface finish, the light across a curve, the way a mechanism moves — these communicate engineering credibility more persuasively than any wide shot of a car on an empty road.
Strategy
The approach taken.
Shoot the product as a series of macro studies, use 3D for interior and mechanical views photography cannot reach, and structure the media plan as a creative test. Let the detail cuts that hold attention organically decide where the spend goes.
Creative Direction
How it looks and moves.
Tight framing, controlled reflections and deep shadow. Colour restricted almost entirely to the product itself. Motion graphics used only to label and annotate, never to decorate.

Execution
What the work involved.

What it sets out to achieve
The outcome the work is built for.
This is a concept project, so the outcomes below describe design intent rather than measured performance. We publish numbers only where a client has verified and approved them.
Distinctive in a conventional category
Detail-led art direction that sidesteps automotive's most-used visual shorthand.
Creative decided by evidence
A structured test framework identifies which cuts earn attention before the full spend commits.
Angles a camera cannot reach
3D covers interior and mechanical sequences without a second production.
